We’re passionate about seeing young people realise their potential to make a real difference in the world. They are the future change-makers who bring fresh eyes to grapple with and solve developing world problems.

 

RAW Impact has established itself as a leading organisation facilitating engaging, educational project-service experiences. High school students typically participate in a 10-12 day journey of cultural immersion and community-focused volunteer work where they make a real impact. Primary and Middle school students grapple with real-world issues as part of Service Learning Modules, working on innovative solutions whilst participating in driving powerful change.

Team Trips

 

Project trips for Year 9-12s and a chance for Year 12s to join our Elevate Leavers trip.

How long are the trips?

Typically 12 days including arrival and departure days but we’re flexible.

How many students can I bring?

A minimum of 10 and a maximum of 50. Usually schools choose to bring around 25-30 students.

What's a typical itinerary?

The first full day is a cultural orientation and RAW Office tour, then we hit the tools on our main project (4 days), followed by a village sleep out, then off to our second project (3 days), finishing in Siem Reap to explore the Angkor Wat temples (2 days).

Service Learning

 

Hands-on challenge based service learning modules which drive tangible results.

Which year levels can participate?

We have opportunities for Primary School and Middle School students.

How is it structured?

We work with the school to ensure we satisfy curriculum requirements and provide a one term (10 week) module.

What's an example module?

A module may require students to investigate bamboo as a sustainable building material, design and build a 3D model village house, and do a class fundraiser to provide a family in Cambodia with a house.

Which forum?

We speak to individual classes, school assemblies, chapels, teachers, conferences, fundraising events, parent info nights etc.

What about?

We’ll tailor to suit the occasion but we’re always aiming to share our personal stories and those of the people we work with. We will show pics and clips and engage students/teachers with ways they can get involved.

Costs?

Generally we provide speakers at no charge unless they are required to travel significant distances.
